Australian Folklore Performance

4/06/2017

Australian Folklore
School Performance Tours will be presenting an informative, humorous look at the legends and heroes that make up our Australian identity in a show called, “Australian Folklore.” This will take place on Monday 12th June at Bowen State School. The cost is $4 per student.

Using story, music, a vast array of props and audience participation from start to finish, Gerard Café brings Australia’s folklore to life. There is didgeridoo playing, sing-a-longs to some Australian classics and even a chance for students to test their sheep shearing skills. Not with real sheep of course but these stuffed jumbucks prove just as feisty as the real thing.

To finish up his show, Gerard pays tribute to some modern day heroes, namely the diggers, bush firefighters and surf lifesavers, to show that Australian folklore continues even today. This performance is highly entertaining and very educational so all students are encouraged to attend.

Money is to be paid to the office no later than Thursday 8th June.
